Pride in Hyde

19 nominees received “Pride in Hyde” awards in June 2019, having being nominated by local people. The Pride In Hyde Awards (running for the 3rd year) celebrate individuals or groups who make a difference to life in the greater Hyde and Tameside area. The presentation was a public event held at POP, that was free for all to attend.

Cllr. Shibley Alam nominated Ria Meera Munshi, Director of Ri Ri’s Dance Academy, for an award.

Review

“I nominated Ria for a “Pride in Hyde” award 2019, as I wanted her achievements to be recognized by the local community. Her contribution to the arts, community of Hyde and Tameside, as well as her incredible dance and business achievements for Ri Ri’s Dance Academy are amazing. She has taken her business from dance to theatre, including mesmerizing new technology. I have worked with her on numerous occasions, as well as watching the “Thunderstruck” theatre production and I have found her to be very creative, friendly and helpful. Wishing Ria all the very best for the future.” – Cllr. Shibley Alam
