Bollywood Dancing at Bolton Uni
A student led Diversity Day Event was celebrated in February 2017 at The University of Bolton. Bollywood Dancers Bolton, from International Ri Ri’s Dance Academy were booked to entertain the students and staff with their fusion Bollywood Dance performance. This super energetic set consisted of traditional Bollywood Dancing with a cheeky Break Dancing surprise too!
The Academy, also, ran a successful and fun basic Bollywood Dance Workshop which went down a treat with the students! Lots of laughs, giggles and spontaneous improvisation rippled through the Social Learning Zone, at the University, where the Event was held.
Testimonial
“From the moment I contacted Ri Ri’s Dance Academy any thoughts of doubt were blown away. Over the course of the month searching for Bollywood Dancers to book to perform at our student led Diversity Day at the University of Bolton was exhausting. It was both refreshing and a relief when I spoke to Ria – she was a breath of fresh air! So lovely to speak too and so accommodating. We kept in touch and before we knew it was the day of the event. The students were blown away by the dancing and couldn’t stop talking about the dancing. The Bollywood workshop that Ria provided was brilliant. All the girls and the boys got involved and they found their feet so well and found that Ria was so engaging. Can’t wait to work with you again Ria! It was a pleasure!” – Aiysha Khan, Bolton University
Diversity Day
Diversity Day was part of Hate Crime Awareness Week. Hate Crime is any incident or behaviour which was caused by: race, disability, religion/faith, sexual identity or gender identity, just to name a few.
As well as Ri Ri’s Bollywood Dancers Bolton providing spectacular entertainment The Unviersity of Bolton hosted a range of other activities and festivities. Some of these included dhol players, live music and stalls – All beautifully celebrating diversity and culture.
