Bollwood Dance at The University of Manchester
During the summer the staff of Manchester University gathered together to have a day of team building where they could experience a number of fresh activities – Bollywood Dance being one of them!
Manchester Bollywood Dance Workshop
The University of Manchester booked muli-award winning Ri Ri’s Dance Academy for these beautiful and elegant yet energetic sessions, which certainly further enhanced the stunning Indian culture.
Students in the lessons learnt about the delicate and precise Bollywood hand gestures which have been taken from the Indian classical dance form, called Bharatanatayam. They, also, learnt about the rich history, heritage and culture of Indian dance.
Moving on to the Manchester Bollywood Dance Workshop which incorporates basic Indian dance steps combined to form a memorable and exciting Bollywood Dance routine. With the Bollywood beats blasting and hips wiggling all students are guaranteed to have a fun and fabulous time!
Once the Bollywood Dance routine had been learnt the group was split up into mini dance groups, where the students had to rehearse and perform the routine shown to them as well as choreograph a bit of Bollywood themselves. This section of the Bollywood Dance Workshop went down a storm with the Manchester Uni staff, as they were able to use their imagination and creativity!
Team Building through Bollywood Dance
Interactive Bollywood Dance Workshops are a unique way to bring colleagues together, encouraging team work and, also, communication amongst the group.
Furthermore, Ri Ri’s Manchester Bollywood Dance Workshops provide an opportunity for everyone to interact, learn, be creative, release all barriers and totally immerse themselves into a fresh and colourful culture.
Despite differences dance can be used to unlock creative potential or even to reach a common goal. Work in unison to experience a beautiful art form!
